SpuffMonkey Posted September 9, 2007 Posted September 9, 2007 Anyone know where I can get decent length (0.5 to 1 metre ish) SVGA splitter cables so we can drive the projectors. Can only find really short ones which won't do as the wall mounted connectors are a way from the back of the PC. Thanks
strawberry Posted September 9, 2007 Posted September 9, 2007 the splitter is added onto the existing cable chap. it has one female and 2 males. ( i think) so it sits on the pc and has the 2 outputs running from it.
ICT_GUY Posted September 10, 2007 Posted September 10, 2007 I buy mine on amazon, there are a couple of firms who sell through them. Cheap, good quality and quick delivery. http://www.amazon.co.uk/s/ref=nb_ss_w_h_/026-0544348-5019633?initialSearch=1&url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=vga+splitter

There is no "existing cable" to the wall mounted connection points - I know I could bodge in extra extension leads - but that seriously degrades the signal - and I'm not keen on placing those little splitter boxes in every classroom - as they are another point of failure/theft to worry about.
ICT_GUY Posted September 10, 2007 Posted September 10, 2007 http://www.amazon.co.uk/s/ref=nb_ss_w_h_/203-0394275-5736703?initialSearch=1&url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=vga+extension+1m Make it work with new improved kludge, get the job done! The signal loss is next to zero on small runs. Even if you with the additional break.
