Hi,

We have just been migrated from Live@Edu to Office 365 (almost 40,000 users).

I have two problems;

The most worrying is the sheer number of this warning that I am getting,

Unable to update this object because the following attributes associated with this object have values that may already be associated with another object in your local directory services: [userPrincipalName [email protected];]. Correct or remove the duplicate values in your local directory.

I have had so far in 8 hours, 336 emails each with 30 accounts (some of these may be duplicate reports, with that many its hard to tell)

Can anyone advise how I can resolve this, ideally without losing the mailboxes that may already be in place.....

2nd problem;

Given that I have 40,000 accounts, and DirSync falls over after 5000, how am I supposed to sync ?

Thanks

Mike

Have you contacted ms support? I seem to remember they have to make some changes for dir sync on a large domain. I could be wrong though.

If you have more than 50,000 objects in your local AD (that's objects, not just users - run the deployment readiness tool to determine the number) then you should contact Microsoft Support to get your DirSync object limit raised.

As you've come from Live@edu did you run the preparation scripts as part of the upgrade? (Assuming you were using ILM beforehand)
