Not only is it interesting to see where planes are off to, I had to collect some coming into Birmingham International. I was able to see their plane coming in and time my arrival.

I've had this for a while. I don't use it as much as a friend who has the full app and gets really excited at the alerts though.

The full apps are brilliant, as mentioned above the alerts are great fun... never miss the 787 or A380 (or whatever again). The additional in-app purchases are good too. Well worth £3-4.
