kweng7 Posted August 16, 2013 Posted August 16, 2013 Is anyone having trouble running the office 365 migration scripts? I am trying to run them before installing dirsync but keep getting errors when it try to read active directory. I contact Microsoft but no help. I wonder how everyone else experience is like.
kweng7 Posted August 16, 2013 Author Posted August 16, 2013 There is 2 scripts for powershell that suppose to use before going to dirsync. One is a read only that suppose to compare your active directory to the cloud and look for errors and the other one is the cleanup script that you use to correct errors. Microsoft said that is optional but in reality, you need it because in dirsync, there is 4 fields that change and need to remap. Prepare your directory for upgrade - Upgrade to Office 365 - Office 365 - Microsoft Office 365 Community
jamesbmarshall Posted August 16, 2013 Posted August 16, 2013 Are you planning to deploy ADFS after the upgrade? Are you running OLSync at the moment?
kweng7 Posted August 17, 2013 Author Posted August 17, 2013 currently running olsync. i finally figure out what i was doing wrong with the script. had the ldap setting wrong in script. currently running the script. been going on for the past 8 hours and so on. We plan to deploy dirsync for now. Our partner don't have the resources to move to adfs. I am hoping to deploy dirsync this weekend but don't look like it since the script is still running.
