synaesthesia Posted August 14, 2013 Posted August 14, 2013 http://www.humblebundle.com - quite interesting this week, Origin! So, spend over $4.50 and grab yourselves the likes of BF3, Sims, Mirrors Edge, Deadspace, Medal of Honour etc etc.
rich_tech Posted August 24, 2013 Posted August 24, 2013 Just spent on this, cost about £6 in the UK for the minimum bid to get all the games, lots of decent enough games to warrant a few quid being donated for charity and you can even specify weighting on the donations with the charities, if there are some listed that you find not so favourable, I recommend it !
LosOjos Posted November 8, 2013 Posted November 8, 2013 Bit of a long shot but does anyone have any Sims 3 keys left over from the Origin Humble Bundle? Built my daughter a PC for Xmas and she loves the Sims. I'm willing to pay, just let me know what you want for it

LosOjos Posted November 8, 2013 Posted November 8, 2013 When I said I'd pay I was thinking something more like Paypal levels, not so much that NATS is necessary! Lol

Novalee Posted November 8, 2013 Posted November 8, 2013 I've never heard of Humble Bundle - anyone got a quick explanation of how it works? Thanks!
bladedanny Posted November 8, 2013 Posted November 8, 2013 (edited) I've never heard of Humble Bundle - anyone got a quick explanation of how it works? Thanks! Pay what you want for awesome games. It's basically pay what you want. Some goes to the game devs, some goes to charity and some goes to humble bundle themselves. You get to choose who gets what of your payment. There's usually extra games to get if you pay over the average amount which obviously goes up the longer it's running. Depending on which games are on, you either get direct downloads or steam keys or sometimes both. Quite often they are cross platform too. There's only a limited time to get each bundle though, after that it's gone. Edited November 8, 2013 by bladedanny
Novalee Posted November 8, 2013 Posted November 8, 2013 That's a really good idea. I will definitely be looking at this later. How often do they change the Bundle?
Sunnyknight Posted November 8, 2013 Posted November 8, 2013 I've never heard of Humble Bundle - anyone got a quick explanation of how it works? Thanks! Pay $5... get multiple games for it.
bladedanny Posted November 8, 2013 Posted November 8, 2013 (edited) That's a really good idea. I will definitely be looking at this later. How often do they change the Bundle? The weekly one changes weekly (as you'd expect) the main one currently has 11 days remaining, not sure if it's the same for each one. I've bought three up to now (with 25 games between them), two indie bundles and the WB (current one) I would have bought more but often have games I've already got. DMcGuigan Posted November 8, 2013 Posted November 8, 2013 Couple of other sites to get bundles from: Indie Game Bundles and PC Game Bundles - Bundle Stars (I've bought all but two of their bundles, isn't PWYW though, low prices usually sub £5) The Indie Gala The Debut 6 Bundle - Indie Royale (generally the REALLY indie stuff, haven't seen too much for steam on there) I like to keep an eye on them all, you get some really nice stuff in some of them 1
LosOjos Posted November 8, 2013 Posted November 8, 2013 NATS - Noodles And The Soup My clan name. Lol payment via ..... NATS lol I was thinking of BACS!
Sunnyknight Posted November 8, 2013 Posted November 8, 2013 I was thinking of BACS! Kill me. Kill me now.
Novalee Posted November 12, 2013 Posted November 12, 2013 Update from me - thanks for recommending Humble Bundle - I love it. Hooked on Batman - Arkham City at the moment which isn't a game I would have ever chosen in a shop I doubt, so thanks!
synaesthesia Posted November 13, 2013 Author Posted November 13, 2013 Think the whole thing is a cracking idea. They've made over 4 million for that bundle alone and that's split between the game, the charity of choice and humble bundle. Great way of helping to reduce piracy too!
Garacesh Posted November 13, 2013 Posted November 13, 2013 Great way of helping to reduce piracy too! getting people to use Origin.
bladedanny Posted November 13, 2013 Posted November 13, 2013 I've only bought three bundles so can't comment outside that, but none of the games included in those needed Origin. They've all been direct download and/or steam keys. I've only seen the EA one that needed Origin
Garacesh Posted November 13, 2013 Posted November 13, 2013 That's the one I was on about, apparently my edit didn't go through. I posted too soon and edited my post to "Great way of helping to reduce piracy too! getting people to use Origin, in EA's case." but it's not updated. Bah. Grumble.
