TV Choice

Hey all,

 

Been looking at TVs and I'd rather not have to pay for a Smart TV but would want really good quality for a 46' TV. Been looking at the Samsung UE46F8000 model, but obviously it's a smart TV. Does anyone have any recommendations?

look at the Finlux range, they are really good quality, great picture build quality etc....quite cheap compared to equivalents from main brands

That is a high end samsung model with smart TV and 3D , what will you be using it for ? TV? films? games? Sky? 3D ? I currently have Buy LG 47LN575V LED HD 1080p Smart TV, 47" with Freeview HD online at John Lewis which is great for Sky HD and looks lovely with ps3 games/blu ray. Its still a smart tv but I find BBC iPlayer really handy as saves me turning on the ps3 to load iPlayer now. Voice control works ok nothing special but it does what I need it to do and with John Lewis I get a 5 year warranty.

You should take a look and see what 'smart' features are available for your TV. My Panasonic one offers Netflix but not Lovefilm, for example. If you've already got a subscription for one it can be a touch galling to find it won't work on your new TV.
