The Register is running this story today: Bloke in shed starts own DAB radio station - with Ofcom's blessing

 

Ofcom has apparently run a test with one of its people setting up a low-cost, low-power DAB station running off a PII box. Apparently the DAB patents ran out in January so it's open season for DAB broadcasting now, and he used open source software to boot!

Yes but what it doesnt mention is the copyright payments and broadcast licence.

It's about being able to do it depends on what you were broadcasting as well as if I just broadcast me giving a monologue on the colour green who do I pay copyright fee's to?

 

Broadcast licence yes possibly something that would have to be considered.

That would be Apple. Apparently they own the IP on all the primary colours now. Just be careful

Actually there are copyright colours (or would you say colors) Pantone have them:confused:
