Hoping someone here may have some experience with the use of FIM.

In particular I'm looking to flow our groups from AD to the FIM portal.

I am following this document How Do I Synchronize Groups from Active Directory Domain Services to FIM - TechNet Articles - United States (English) - TechNet Wiki

This mentions creating a custom expression on the inbound sync rule as below

CustomExpression - (IIF(Eq(BitAnd(2,groupType),2),"Global",IIF(Eq(BitAnd(4,groupType),4),"DomainLocal","Universal")))

For some reason everytime I try this I receive the error "The Function named could not be located"

All these functions are built in and no ones you need to build yourself...so I'm at a bit of a loss.....any ideas?

Ok seems this was a simple fix in the end...there was an extra set of parentheses in the document...removing these as below resolved the problem

IIF(Eq(BitAnd(2,groupType),2),"Global",IIF(Eq(Bit And(4,groupType),4),"DomainLocal","Universal"))
