KVM vs Crash Cart/adapters

Hi all

 

I am thinking of retiring our non IP KVM and having most of my servers updated to DL360/380 with front access(most virtualised as well) , whether a crash cart would do the trick, since I hardly ever use the console in the server room much and it would save a hell of a lot of cable clutter.

 

Either I fashion one out of an old HP keyboard and screen on a small trolley on wheels or I was thinking of buying one of these:

Bit expensive though, and what do you guys think?

We wall mounted a shelf with keyboard n mouse with a screen on the wall with a usb hub with a usb extension and long vga lead has worked wonders

Do you buy the ilo advanced license with your servers? If so, I can't remember the last time I visited a physical server console.

Must admit I only tried ILO free a while ago, might be worth setting these up for mine. :-)
