As discussed in the steam sale thread, I've fired up a dedicated Terraria server for people to have a play in. It's a clean large map, so go nuts. :)

Server address: rawns.homeip.net:7777

Hopefully you should have no issues connecting but just shout if you do. ;)

I'm in and hoping for some guidance lol.... First off, how do you chat?

Edit: Ahhh, I see. In the app, the first bit was not shown as struck through! :p

I'd be interested to get some feedback re performance. I know it's not the most demanding game, but would like to know its running ok. :)

We should get everyone up to speed and go and find the dungeon! :)

For those who need a little more guidance, the wiki is an excellent source. You can look at weapon tiers and see what's needed to craft them. Terraria Wiki

My buddy (Papernot, ftr) is pretty much a Terraria pro. But I've told him to 'newb down' his gear so that he doesn't steam off and do everything for us xD

Good stuff. I believe that once on of the main bosses has been killed, the world transforms to hard mode and the terrain changes! :p

My mate showed me his top end world when I started playing a while back. I was killed in one hit by the weakest of monsters!!! He had an epic base though! :)

Also, if anyone knows of any suitable plugins/mods, I'm happy to install whatever. :)

Also if your interested, this is how the world looks currently:

Cant seem to connect, the server still up?

My bad, forgot to update the thread! My router got a bit hot last night and hung. Also rebooted my media centre and forgot to fire it back up.

Server should be back. :)
