Can someone please point out the best way to configure four 1TB disks in a raid 5 array, using a PERC 6/i integrated bios util?

I understand the size limitations sticking to the conventional BIOS interface method, however it's my understanding UEFI is only really required if the sys partition is required to be over 2TB... Can anyone point out if is correct?

My thoughts are to create sliced array, creating two VD's; the first VD (VD 1) for the system - being around 200GB, the second VD (VD 2) being configured with the remainder for the purpose of data.

I'd really appreciate your thoughts/ methods of how would you would go about setting up the above disk configuration?

Thanks

Personally I would stick with raid 10 over raid 5. The thought of hosting an OS partition on raid 5 gives me the shivers.

Also with raid 10 your only getting 2TB, wont don't have to worry about UEFI/bios then.

Obviously if you need >2TB then ignore all above advice! :)
