We're currently migrating over to a Google domain.

We have got Google Apps Directory Sync and Google Apps Password Sync both working nicely so all our users are up and logging in with their AD credentials.

We're looking at how to best use Google Drive and whether it is feasible to eventually replace our file server and network shares. In order for this to be a possibility we need to save files for other windows applications (2D Design, Photoshop, Autograph, Publisher etc) directly to Google Drive from the applications themselves without the need to download then re-upload.

The Google Drive application would work for individual users, but is there a solution that works well on the network. Or is there a way of configuring Google Drive to work with network locations?

Any student would need to be able to log in to any computer and their GAPPS Google Drive will sync with their AD user area (or folder in their user area) automatically.
