iPad 2's and Syncing over Wi-Fi??

Hey Guys

 

Is it possible to sync using Apple configurator to all the iPads in your school instead of having to plug in 30 at a time? This take a long time and means I need to source every iPad in the school to sync. I'd rather just be able to push out all my apps and profiles to all my iPad's with a click of a button. Has anyone done this with Apple configurator if so how and did you get on with it?

If Apple configurator is not an option is there any other way I could possibly do this?

Typically the problem you want to solve is addressed using a MDM system such as the free Meraki Systems Manager instead of using Apple Configurator directly. Almost all the same options are available, with the exception of placing the iPad into supervised mode (you can still put them in supervised mode and then use the MDM for everything else).

Ok so I love Meraki and I love the simplicity of how to use it and how it works so feel but a bit of a problem is I want it to push out iOS apps over it which I've figured out how to do it but then to install an app you need to have the app store showing which I don't want the kids to see and also when I send an app over Meraki to the iPad the iPad prompts the user first on whether or not to install the app and then asks them for a Apple ID account! I don't want the users to have to worry about that I just want it to put that app on the iPads I tell it to. Any suggestions would really help !!!

Silent push has been mooted for a while now; I think it is finally coming in iOS 7 later this year. Unfortunately that doesn't help either of us right now, but you're not alone with this problem.
