Delete icons from explorer GP?

Afternoon,

 

I am trying to delete/hide these icons as you can see they are deleted on the left hand side but still appear here. I have used the tips in the below post and changed the reg ect but they still appear. They are not active, when a user clicks on them they get access denied.

Are they not stored in the user profile or in the home directory? Is this a local account?

Pretty sure you can't do it. They're part of Windows 7 profiles and Windows expects them to be there. If i was you, I'd just accept you have to embrace the new profile format rather than trying to hide it (which you wont 100%). Theres nothing to be gained by providing a different experience to what people will have at home.

 

Use Folder Redirection and you can forget about those folders, no need to worry.
