Newbie: Expanding Cisco wireless network

Hi All.

 

I'm a bit of a novice when it comes to managed wireless network. The school here has a Cisco 4400 controller and 12 AP's connected and works flawlessly (if only my other schools could see how a wireless system can work with a bit of investment!!). Anyway, as this school is merging with the next door infant school, they wish to expand the wireless network.

 

The infant building also has a cisco 4400 controller (that I don't currently have log in details for) and a number of AP's. It also has a couple of Unifi AP's that the previous techy installed 'as the cisco weren't working'.

 

The merged school now has 2 wireless networks (although all on the same LAN) and I wish to add the infant schools AP's to the junior controller.

 

Is this possible (I'm sure I read about a limited number of AP's a controller can have) and can somebody point me in the right direction? And basic guides etc?

Cluster the controllers, and have all AP's part of the same wireless infrastructure. You can use HREAP across WAN links so the controllers do not need to be local to the APs.
