[php] CMS: Concrete5 Upload file issue

Hi i am using Concrete5 on one of my websites and it is the latest version (5.6.1.2)

when trying to upload a file you get this Upload Error:

 

Upload Error

An unknown error occurred while uploading the file.

Please check that file uploads are enabled,

and that your file does not exceed the size of the

post_max_size or upload_max_filesize variables.

 

File Uploads: 1

Max Upload File Size: 2M

Post Max Size: 8M

 

The file i am trying to upload is under 1mb, and i have tried other files aswell but get the same issue.

 

i have searched google and found this https://www.concrete5.org/community/forums/installation/solved-uploads-not-working/ but it didnt solve the problem.

 

 

has anyone else experienced this issue, if so have you fixed it?

Does the directory it uploads to have the right permissions?

the directory has all the correct permissions from what I am aware of.
