Seriously considering using BackupAssist to backup data each night from my servers to a couple of NAS's.

Looking to backup Windows 2008R2 servers plus several instances of SQL 2008 R2 and Exchange 2010 SP3.

If anyone is using this, I would be most grateful if you could feedback how effective or otherwise this solution is? I've tried the trial version and it appears too good to be true for the price...

Also, if someone could clarify the licencing on the BackupAssist Exchange Mailbox Add-on and the BackupAssist SQL Server Add-on modules, is it one needed per SQL/Exchange server or one add-on per product? From the trial it looks like you can backup multiple SQL databases on different servers but not 100% sure if the add-on covers them all at once?

Thanks in advance

We find it works rather wel although having performance problems - 15 hours for 17GB of an incremental backup isn't good (to network server, normal copying performance is more than good). BA support looking into it

Personally I like backup assist not had any issues and quite a clean interface. Just a heads up though if your using GRT to backup your exchange box not all nas drives support it and will fail.
