TRFA Posted May 31, 2013 Posted May 31, 2013 Windows 7 Pro Offline Files / 2008 R2 GPO's Hi all, Again another thread in regards to this, hopefully I will get some useful answers as we're all on half term! Basically, we want to disable the offline files service on the client via GPO. Cannot see the service listed in GPO (cscservice / Offline Files) so have scripted it to be stopped and disabled via a mimic script and Impero. This worked fine however after a gpupdate /force it has reset itself back to 'Automatic' and 'Started'. Has anyone been sucessful in doing this? Is there a definitive answer? Have trolled through the forums and interweb trying various things but to no avail. Kind regards, James
adhutton Posted May 31, 2013 Posted May 31, 2013 As far as I know, Group Policy settings for Offline Files are here: Computer Configuration\Administrative Templates\Network\Offline Files. Andrew
TRFA Posted May 31, 2013 Author Posted May 31, 2013 This is what we have set currently however when logging on as a test student it has the sync center icon in My Computer next to there home area and also the icon running down in the task bar. Does that look ok?
