edutech4schools Posted May 23, 2013 Posted May 23, 2013 I want a link on my Android home screen that will play all my thumbed up Google music when pressed. When I jump in the car I just want to hit a shortcut rather than having to go into the full music app and backing out of last songs played, clicking on thumbs up. Can I do this.
LosOjos Posted May 23, 2013 Posted May 23, 2013 You could try this app: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.sika524.android.quickshortcut&feature=nav_result#?t=W251bGwsMSwyLDNd It creates a shortcut to an activity (in Android terms, an activity is like a function inside an app), so as long as Google Play Music is coded in such a way as to make that activity visible, you could add a shortcut to it. Might take some trial and error to find the right activity though! 1
edutech4schools Posted May 23, 2013 Author Posted May 23, 2013 No joy so far. I have managed to link to a standard playlist but not the thumbs up one which does not seem to exist in the processes listed by the app you suggested.
Danp Posted May 24, 2013 Posted May 24, 2013 What phone do you have? My new HTC One has a great Car app that loads everything in large with voice commands including 'play playlist'
edutech4schools Posted May 24, 2013 Author Posted May 24, 2013 I have the Galaxy s2. does your car dock also display the thumbs up playlist? I have managed to get the standard playlists in to a shortcut.
