Hi

I have a intel gigabit network adapter (on motherboard) that is exhibiting some strange behaviour and not loading.

From a cold boot the adapter does not load returns "driver cannot load code 10 error" The drivers load on a warm reboot and the computer connects to the network. We have lots of machines with this network adapter in and they are working fine. When the device fails I have pinged 127.0.0.1 and it works but pinging the switch returns PING: General failure. The device is not getting a IP address (even APIPA). The switch is opening up the port fine.

I updated the latest drivers from intel and same issue occurs. We have had this issue occur more than once and engineers have replaced the motherboard.

Totally confused
