SpuffMonkey Posted August 7, 2007 Posted August 7, 2007 Hi Not really sure where to put this one... Does anyone have a nice, easy to use (ie we don't have to help every half an hour), quick to make changes digital signage system? I'd be interested in which and if you're visitable from the Northants area - I'd love to come and have a quick look. Cheers
Ric_ Posted August 8, 2007 Posted August 8, 2007 Do a search for 'digital signage' and you will find a lot!
SpuffMonkey Posted August 8, 2007 Author Posted August 8, 2007 Yeah - was just hoping someone would volunteer to be visited.
ChrisC Posted August 8, 2007 Posted August 8, 2007 sedao do imageflyer (based in winchester) that seems like a pretty good system, we're not using it here yet, but looking into it. http://www.sedao.co.uk/products/imageflyer.htm Chris
Ric_ Posted August 8, 2007 Posted August 8, 2007 My Navaho MediaCAT systems (three units) will be installed in the next couple of weeks but it may be a trek for you to come and see them.

Mebbe - but I'm up in Lancs the week after next... What made you go for these over a PC based system?
MkII Posted August 8, 2007 Posted August 8, 2007 Our cheap as.. system with 2 PCs and 32" and 42" HD tellys hangin off them work very well, used very poorly tho' more for management/ visitor impression than actual benefit to learning in any way.

Used Oliis Solutions in the end after my contact moved from EuroLaser. Mandy Brereton on 01753 496028 can tell you a bit more and arrange for a Navaho rep to come out to you.
secman Posted August 9, 2007 Posted August 9, 2007 We have selected the Procyon System called D|Sign with basic Dell AMD PCs and 37" LCD Toshiba TVs. We will have a 7 screen system run by 6 PCs (eventually when the building work is finnished!) These will have a customised interface for the school and will also have a TV feed. Procyon have a special education discount making this professional software reasonable. Our total budget was £12,500 and we are well within that at the moment. :-) Alan
