sparker Posted May 8, 2013 Posted May 8, 2013 Anyone have a good way to block Smartboard upgrade nags ? Ideally a URL I can filter to save having to get RM to close a port? I find their upgrades cause the Smartboard driver to fail , I think because of my 32 bit NIC driver which is a pain as all of my IWB PCs are the same. Anyone else has this?
sparkeh Posted May 8, 2013 Posted May 8, 2013 Yeah, use the SMART Install Manager to modify the installation and choose not to install the updater. 1
sparker Posted May 8, 2013 Author Posted May 8, 2013 Good Idea but I unfortunately installed Smart as part of the image (you live and learn) so cannot easily modify it now ( new image over summer) but I it must be coming from somewhere so surely I can block it? I just need a quick fix to stop the teachers breaking the boards.
sted Posted May 8, 2013 Posted May 8, 2013 use gpp to delete smartupdater.exe (i think its called) or install it on a pc without the updater and check the registry differences 1
