HAHAHA!! Why have only just seen this?!

 

I found a fiver recently - when I was walking the dog...

The yahoo news says "The Bank takes suggestions from the public about who should be included next, but would not include fictional characters, people who are not reasonably well known or people who the Bank thinks might cause public offence." What this doesn't explain is why Sir John Houblon is on the £50. Never heard of him. Mind you, I've never seen a £50 note either. :) There is a list of people, suggested by Joe Public, who might appear on the notes one day. There are several who are not well known (IMO).

They stick together when old as well. Was a bit of a pain when I was in Australia! Edited by elsiegee40
