ConradJones Posted April 6, 2013 Posted April 6, 2013 (edited) Has anyone got this working? I'm trying to install esxi 4.1 over the network? DHCP / TFTPd / apache2 running on SUSE 12.2 PXE boots but complains the image is corrupt i have made the image.tgz as per instructions and the image.tgz does have the bz2 inside it named correctly for the esxi version ERROR --> Installation operation failed! The installation operation has encountered a fatal error: Unable to find system image to install. This is due to the image not being mounted correctly or the CD-ROM not being supported. ConradJones Posted April 6, 2013 Author Posted April 6, 2013 definately a bug in the 4.1 installer, as the iso (update 2 or update 3) doesn't work with with memdisk either. 4.0 does tho.
