ravirainbow Posted March 29, 2013 Posted March 29, 2013 Hi, whether a high end water proof CCTV camera can be made to function as a borehole camera for depths upto 100 meters. Display should be a laptop and power source will be battery pack. Ravichandran
laserblazer Posted March 29, 2013 Posted March 29, 2013 Welcome to the forum Ravi. Is that 100m of water? That would be quite a lot of pressure.
SYNACK Posted March 29, 2013 Posted March 29, 2013 150+ psi Easy enough to make a small device do this, doing it with a cable teather is a whole other matter. Special cable and/or connector would be required to prevent leakage.
ravirainbow Posted March 29, 2013 Author Posted March 29, 2013 Welcome to the forum Ravi. Is that 100m of water? That would be quite a lot of pressure. No, I mentioned for borehole depths where water levels will be 20 to 30 m at the bottom.
tom_newton Posted March 29, 2013 Posted March 29, 2013 strange topic for edugeek. My father in law has a borehole camera - as far as I know they're fairly specialised kit, I wouldn't recommend jerry-rigging one.
