Adding new client to Mountain Lion Server

Do you have to add the mac server domain in manually and then also enrol the client to the server via servername/mydevices in order to control it? just dont remember this process before with old mac server

Yup, and you also have to check that every port/firewall exception is done before you attempt this.

 

Here, we wanted to navigate to the devices using our FQDN/mydevices, but of course, were on the LEA Filtering Proxy. So they had to handle some DNS for us for the sodding iPads to actually work with the FQDN. If i was going to do iPad deployment for the first time, I would go with Meraki.
