Beneee Posted March 20, 2013 Posted March 20, 2013 POST TITLE: ICT Support, 2nd Line Engineer LINE MANAGER: ICT Support Network Manager REMUNERATION: Scale 4 Point 18-21 WORKING HOURS: 36 hours a week, 52 Weeks per Year EFFECTIVE FROM: April 2013 PURPOSE The post holder will work closely under the guidance and direction of the Network Manager to provide technical advice and support to staff and students on the use of all teaching and administrative ICT systems. To support the maintenance of hardware and the administrative control of ICT assets as guided by the Line Manager. The post holder will be required to communicate on a daily basis with all staff within the school to support them as required and as directed by the Network Manager. In addition they may be required to take an active role in training/supporting teachers or demonstrating aspects of ICT to students. Role Related and Personal Skills: • Good written and verbal communication skills • Professional telephone manner and excellent interpersonal skills • Able to discuss technical issues in an ‘easy to understand’ manner • Able to work unsupervised and plan work schedules based on illustrated priorities • Able to calmly work under pressure • The desire to constantly improve their technical skills and understanding • Able to work as part of a team • Positive work ethic / can do attitude We are looking to hear from people with knowledge of the following: • PC hardware fault finding and repair • Laptop repair • Microsoft Windows Server 2003, 2008 and 2012 • Windows XP Pro, Windows 7 and Windows 8 • Microsoft Office 2007/2010 • Active Directory and Group Policy • A working knowledge of TCP IP connectivity within the LAN For the application form & further details please visit our website at The Ravensbourne School Thanks Ben Musson Network Manager The Ravensbourne School
