Best way to copy data whilst retaining ACLs / Permissions

We are going to be moving all our staff and student data to a centralised storage area over the next week or so. What would be the best way to do this whilst retaining the ACLs / Permissions on all the files and folders? We are moving from windows to samba on ubuntu Edited March 19, 2013 by mdench
