No this is not the usual is 32 or 64bit better but rather simpler probably. I have a server 2008 64bit and 32bit clients, I want to use nircmd for a couple of jobs like setting the audio etc but there are two versions, 64bit and 32 bit, which to use? 64bit version as it will be located on the 64bit server or 32bit as it will be performing commands on a 32bit client?

From the site, it looks like a client side tool, so it'd be 32bit you'd want. You'd then want something like psexec to remotely run it or whatever you use.

If you're running the batch file on the clients themselves, ie. as a login script etc... then no. If you're running from a central place, then you might? It all depends on how you run the batch file...
