LGFL DNS Servers

Hi there,

Not too sure on how this works so just looking for some advice.

 

I recently had a announcement flag up on my LGFL 2.0 atomwide account regarding HTTPS searching with google.

LGFL mention in the post that you can use your local DNS to point to root DNS servers on the internet which are not blocked by LGFL 2.0 network to get around the issue. Does anyone know which DNS servers these might be?

If you want to avoid the lgfl dns servers then just build yourself a local dns server and it will start off by looking for root dns servers by default and the lgfl network will let you do this.

 

As a side point ... Why on earth do you want to run this over head - the lgfl changes simply ensure that google can't slip into https and so this means safe search can be enforced and you have a better level of control over filtering.
