Hi all,

We seem to be having more and more teachers unable to open any Office programs due to SmartInk trying to access a path that doesn't exist.

INK.png

This error only appears when a user has a dodgy profile and ends up with a C:\Users\username.domain type profile instead of C:\Users\username

A quick fix we have found is manually creating C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\Temp which gets office working again but has anyone come across this before? Is there a way to disable SmartInk from Office or know why random profiles get corrupt and end up with .domain at the end?

Cheers

Jamie

Sadly jut one of those roaming profile annoyances. We don't have to reset them that often, but it does need doing from time to time as all sorts starts misbehaving including folder redirection in our case
