browolf Posted July 19, 2007 Posted July 19, 2007 we using an fully patched sp2 windows xp on parallels desktop on a macbook. added to domain, installed office 2003, installed sims, sims works ok but lesson monitor complains about msinet.ocx being missing which is seems to be. where does this file come from? I download this and comdlg32.ocx from a random website stuck them in system32, registered them. it gets as far as synchronise "writing options to SQL server" but errors with requested operation could not be performed.
browolf Posted August 8, 2007 Author Posted August 8, 2007 i've figured out the problem. we've always, in the past installed sims using simsinst.exe and everything worked. what i realise is the need to run simsinfrastructure setup beforehand nowadays.
