glennda Posted February 12, 2013 Posted February 12, 2013 Just been to look at a site for a client and got a couple of questions around this and want to try and avoid talking to Virgin Media directly if I don't have to They have the package mentioned above, From paperwork they have they get 10MB cable line for £40pm. Does anybody know the contention ratio's of Virgins business cable lines? Does it mean they will get steady 10mb or is it like ADSL? I've never used a cable line so not really sure and the Virgin website is next to useless!
SpuffMonkey Posted February 13, 2013 Posted February 13, 2013 My homeline is a rock solid 30Mb - so you'd hope the business version is at least as good. They do do traffic throttling though - so you'd need it in writing that they will not apply this on your proposed line.

I will have to try and call them to get information out of them. The line is already in place and has been running for a while.
rich_tech Posted February 13, 2013 Posted February 13, 2013 virgin are pretty good at providing the speeds they advertise from my experience as a cable based customer, not sure about the contentions and ADSL offerings though.
