I've got a KMS server running on Win2K8 R2 and it's running fine.

I'm wanting to acctivate Office2013, Windows 8 and Server 2012 off it but was hoping for some clarification.

I've found this, Update adds support for Windows 8 and Windows Server 2012 to Windows Server 2008, Windows 7, and Windows Server 2008 R2 KMS hosts and I've installed it and the Office activation pack. Now my Office 2013 count is too low to activate but it seems OK.

However for the Win8/2012, Do I need to add in a 2012 KMS Server key to my existing KMS server? or will it's current 2008R2 KMS key and the hotfix be enough to activate Win8/Server2012 (mostly the latter of those)

I don't want to start adding 2012 servers then find I have an issue.

You do need to add a new key. Your server 2012 key can activate Windows Visa, 2008, 7, 2008 R2, 8 & 2012

If you have any issues your machines wont jut become unactivated. You will have plenty of time to fix KMS.

When you change the KMS key on a KMS server it also changes the key for the sevrer itself. It shouldn't give you any problems. Servers can still run unactivated if it does all go wrong.
