Jawloms Posted February 8, 2013 Posted February 8, 2013 Hiya, I've just set up a simple Server 2008 R2 domain and am playing with one Windows 7 client on it. I've setup a few network drives to map and redirected Documents to a share on the server. The trouble I'm having is that the network drives are automatically set to synchronise, as well as the Documents. I'd like it so that Documents and one of the network drives are the only ones automatically syncing, but can't see where to do this. Obviously I can disable offline files, but that will stop everything syncing. Also, the users can themselves play with offline files and stop network drives syncing, but I want it all done via group policy. Can anyone help please? Thank you Stuart

Jawloms Posted February 9, 2013 Author Posted February 9, 2013 Thanks Richard, but that is how to disable offline files completely and I want to leave it enabled for the "My Documents" folder but disable it for mapped drives.
markwilfan Posted February 9, 2013 Posted February 9, 2013 You can set the share not to cache in advanced sharing on the shares you don't want syncing 1
Jawloms Posted February 9, 2013 Author Posted February 9, 2013 Thanks Mark. Didn't know that was there!
