NFC Phones

Have any of you got any experience of any [ame=http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Near_Field_Communication]NFC[/ame] enabled phones (such as the Nokia 6212) ??

I'd be interested to find out if they are compatible with RFID-type door security systems such as Salto...

(Come to think of it, would any other Mifare cards (Oyster, etc) be able to be used?)

Saw a few demos at Philip's R+D labs a few years ago (3-4 years probably). Rather nifty technology and using it as an enabler for bluetooth was neat (no passcodes, etc to type - just bring the devices together and the NFC sorts out setting up a bluetooth link). I don't know what frequency the Salto stuff runs at, but if it's in the ~14Mhz area it may work with the NFC stuff. They did show us a couple of oyster type demos, but I'm not sure I'd want to be fumbling for my phone in that many London Tube stations

I've had a message back from our Salto supplier... The phones CAN be used, but they have to be sent away to Spain to be configured!!!??!?
