FN-GM Posted February 19, 2021 Posted February 19, 2021 Hello, I am opening this thread based on the below I was hoping @localzuk or someone else can help. http://www.edugeek.net/forums/netbooks-pda-phones/220498-3cx.html#post1887467 1 - you should be able to use Call Flow Designer to create what you want. IT Support has a call queue. And we want to set office hours on this queue - after 5PM a message is played to inform the caller that the department is closed. This works on an inbound route from the outside world - our public number. However when someone calls the internal extension number for the queue it doesn't hit the inbound route so these office hours don't apply. It was suggested that the Call Flow Designer could be used to achieve this. I am trying to figure out how we would apply the design to an internal number. I can figure out how to assign it to an inbound route but again this won't apply to the internal call. Any tips would be gratefully received. Thanks
localzuk Posted February 19, 2021 Posted February 19, 2021 So you'd have something like this in CFD. When saved/exported, then imported into 3CX it'd then have its own extension number. People internally would need to call this number. If you don't want to change the number people dial, you would give the queue a new number, and give the CFD app the old queue extension number. 1
FN-GM Posted February 19, 2021 Author Posted February 19, 2021 Ah right. I didn’t know you could give the actual Call Flow it’s own extension number. How would I hide the queue from the search to stop people calling it directly and by passing the call flow? I can only find that on an extension level. I could give it an obscure name so people wouldn’t know what to find? Thank you for the reply - much appreciated.
Chris_Cook Posted February 19, 2021 Posted February 19, 2021 I'm not sure, but I don't think queues show up in the search, The other way you can do this is to setup a second extension (without a handset assigned to it). This then has forwarding setup, and custom hours to change where it forwards to. This can then be hidden.
FN-GM Posted February 20, 2021 Author Posted February 20, 2021 I'm not sure, but I don't think queues show up in the search They appear in search. As well as digital receptionists.
FN-GM Posted February 20, 2021 Author Posted February 20, 2021 I have just built one and it was very simple! Not sure why I made such a meal of this! I assume there isn't a way for the custom app the appear in the phone book? Thanks
