LONGFLEET CE (VC) COMBINED SCHOOL

Jolliffe Avenue, Poole

Dorset, BH15 2HF

 

ICT Technician Level 2 - Permanent

£17,161 to £19,126 pro rata

Required to work 30hrs per week term time and INSET days.

 

Starting September 2011

 

Main duties and responsibilities include:

 

Support and maintenance of the schools desktop environment, the server environment and printer consumables. Hardware repairs where practical.

 

Liaising with external providers.

 

Compliance of software licences.

 

By using best practice ensure the schools ICT systems are protected in the event of serious failure or loss.

 

Maintenance of the ICT hardware and software asset register.

 

We are seeking somebody with a passion for ICT, with a good understanding of ICT hardware, services, laptops and printers and educational equipment, can work independently in an organised and customer focused way and an excellent understanding of e-safety, internet filtering and best practices for internet access in schools. Experience of working in a school environment is desirable but not essential.
