GAMADV-X and GAMADV-XTD deprecated. Upgrade to GAMADV-XTD3 before 01/01/2020

This might be old news, but I thought it was worth posting since I haven't seen it mentioned anywhere.

 

If you are currently using GAMADV-X or GAMADV-XTD it is recommended to upgrade to GAMADV-XTD3 since the two former programs are no longer going to receive updates due to Python 2 going EOL after 1st January 2020. The same probably applies to GAM since this uses Python 2.

... there will be no further enhancements to GAMADV-X and GAMADV-XTD. These versions are built on Python 2 and its support ends on 2020/01/01. I encourage you to update to GAMADV-XTD3 which is built on Python 3. You do not have to install Python 3 on your Mac/Linux/PC; it is built into the executable.

Just been looking into this and vanilla GAM changed from using Python 2 to Python 3 back in April (at v4.80), so is no longer impacted by Python 2 going EOL in Janaury 2020. Should be fine to continue using if you're up to date.
