Well after a little play I have created an Edugeek Toolbar for myself

 

It has a link to the homepage / google search box / Edugeek News RSS link / Edugeek forums RSS link / some eduation based RSS links / My account menu.

 

Download from http://edugeek.ourtoolbar.com/ and have a play.

 

All comments and ideas welcome. Could be a good addtition to users of the site?

can you alter search if so could be good to add edugeek search to the bar

I get only forums and wiki rss feed and no news or edugeek conference news...

 

Seems to be problem with font as well see attached pic.

Also my gallery links to your gallery sysman

 

if cant be done then if want will look into coding script that whan ran will redirect you to current logged in persons gallery.

@Sysman: The whole 'My Account' button links to your section of the site. The font also looks a little knackered on my system. Otherwise it's rather nice though

Right made the changes to My Public Profile and had to remove the link to My Gallery.

 

There is an issue with FF with RSS icons with more then 1 feed in them. See http://forum.effectivebrand.net/index.php?topic=1524.0

 

Should be working under IE though - see attached image.

Funny things happening in IE7 - the news dropdowns won't display.

Hopfully the its the same reason as firefox and will be sorted soon. If not I'll just add single RSS feeds to edugeek only feeds until its fixed.

A note for people who have installed the toolbar and found they have Weather + Email Notification buttons they don't want.

 

Download the attached file and copy to the edugeek toolbar program folder. Default location c:\program files\edugeek

 

Now working with IE 7 beta 3
