sonofsanta 67,973 Posted March 5, 2012 My favourite was an old piece of Science software complaining that it couldn't run because it required 3Mb of Virtual Memory to be available. Turns out the computers in question had 1024mb-2048mb allocated and the software was only reading the first digit. Had to set the paging file to 4096mb to get it to run. D'oh (and that's ignoring the idiocy of trying to use the paging file yourself instead of just asking for memory and letting the OS deal with it, like it's designed to do)
