Lifting and Other Animals
Oi oi.
Well, I have little to contribute tech-wise as I'm never up on the news, don't drink the Linux kool-aid and can't write scripts/software for shoot. So this blog can feature some lifting.
JUST finished a dreamer bulk (2g protein/lb bodyweight every day, 400g carbs, 4k calories. I/You WILL get fat) but OH BOY did I engage beast mode! Managed 7x100kg bench; best working set ever. Seeing as I'm VERY loth to try squatting or deadlifting anymore, as I have to save what little my hip has left for Muay Thai, bench is my remaining 'big lift' and I do enjoy chest day. ![]()
Currently look a bit like this:

As we can see, not especially lean. Pumped but not flexed.
So, onto current affairs. Lose some of the fat I acquired. Currently at 94kg-ish, 6', 32yo. Not sure on bodyfat but must be above 20%. Grand ambition is to go back to Sanda (Chinese kickboxing) for competition next November. Weight would ideally be TOP of light-heavyweight - 186-205 LBS (84.3-92.9 KG) and I might just be lean enough to make the most of that by then.
All this leaves me with some cutting to do now. Using Scooby's Calorie Calculator I need 6 meals/day with 471 calories, 29g protonz and 64g carbs. Honestly if you're just starting out in fitness/lifting Scooby's site is really all you need.
Exercise will be high-rep-low-weight (10-12 reps/set) Mon-Thurs with Muay Thai Friday and 30-40 mins cardio Mon-Thurs and Sat. Usually aim to burn about 400+ cals in a cardio session. No idea what lifting burns (not much tho) and Muay Thai burns about a billion.
Gosh none of that was especially funny was it? Meet Jason Genova, he is my inspiration:

And gives solid advice:
If you have the lower body and you have no upper body, you got a problem building...wait a minute. You have the upper body, and you have no legs, you got a problem building your legs. You have the upper... you have the lower body and you don't have the upper body, the upper body, it is easier to build. So if you have the lower body and you don't have the upper body, it is easier to build the upper body. You have the upper body and you don't have the legs, you got a problem building the lower body... no, you don't understand. You have the upper body, but you don't have the lower body, you got a problem building downstairs. You got the up-legs on the bottom, it is easier to build on the top, so you don't have much as a problem. Yeah.
TLDR: nipple.
