Hi, We use Sophos UTM9, Ruckus Wireless and Windows Radius authentication. I am wondering if there is any way to filter (block) clients based on their operating system? Also, if I have a list of mac addresses, can I block based on that? How are others doing this? I want to prevent people coming in and launching their own linux distributions from a usb key etc, or using their own devices which are not allowed. Many thanks for any advice/options.

Thanks, I have this set already. I also set recently 'turn off toast notifications' but I think this is all of them, not just outlook. I also tried a registry setting: HKCU\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Notifications\Settings\microsoft.windowscommunicationsapps_8wekyb3d8bbwe!microsoft.windowslive.mail Would the 'Quiet Hours' settings be useful here?

Hi, We are using Outlook Version 1905 (Build 11601.20144 Click-to-run) Everything is controlled by group policy, and I am struggling to control Outlook (Toast?) notifications. We get a grey box on the lower right quadrant of the screen, which shows the message, and details. Is there any way to turn this off through GP? I have all the latest Office templates, installed and visible when creating group policy. Any expertise to share here? I did see a 'presentation mode' which stops notifications, but I really want to stop them from showing up period. Thank you.

Hi, Attempting to stop Teams from Autostarting. Did a group policy to remove the registry entry for: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run com.squirrel.Teams.Teams This worked, in the sense that it removes this entry, however teams still starts. Did a search through the registry, this turns up: HKEY_USERS\S-1-5-21-2654906830-3500376121-894219130-5496\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run com.squirrel.Teams.Teams Unfortunately, all my attempts to remove this have failed. Not sure the S key is stable across all users anyway to use a registry delete entry in GP. Anyone had any luck with Powershell to stop this? Cheers

Hi, having an issue with a W10 Edu surface pro, which is fully updated. Whenever I shut down, the setting for 'Change what closing the lid does' "When I close the lid' goes back to 'sleep', after I have set it (and saved) to 'Do nothing' Any ideas on how to permanently set this?

Office365, just looking to see how this is handled by others. We have a lot of students, and they also use wireless exclusively, so they get drop outs. When their passwords expire, they don't often log out, but will keep on working. When this happens, they get a requests for password updates to Outlook, and other Office applications. Just wanted to see if I could simplify it a bit, so they just change it once and it gets picked up by other applications. Not sure why this doesn't happen through credential manager?

Hi, Currently, we are using W10 Edu on Surface Pro devices. We create new users, and when we login as the user we do the following: Use inetcpl.cpl to add two extra TLS settings (we do this, as Microsoft Store sometimes does not work) Login to Microsoft Store (store is locked down to the corporate store via GP) Login to Outlook Login to Onedrive Login to Onenote Add taskbar shortcuts for Outlook, OneNote and Google Chrome Finally, we run a powershell script to remove all the W10 software that we don't want cluttering up the PC. just basic stuff really but constant entering of the users password. What I want to know is, how can this be automated? Or at least as much of this as possible? What do others do when they are provisioning a new device for a user? Thanks a lot.

Hi, Whenever a user changes a password on our domain, they have to feed this into Outlook and several other areas which is a pain for users due to the number of prompts that come up. Is there any way to feed a password update into all other applications they might use, so they only have to do it once? Thanks

Hi, Can anyone provide pointers on how to get users to accept policies automatically on first sign in. I would actually like them to digitally sign the policies etc, if possible. We maintain hard copies of each policy document, and it is becoming a nightmare when they get updated to get everyone to sign them. Thanks for any assist here.
