  1. Hi, Please could you helppp? I work in a school and we are trying to rename bulk student emails. We have changed our school name so our email addresses needs to be changed. We created an alias email address but not sure how to change this after the @username email address. We have been looking into the GAM Tool (Please see source: GAM by Dito - Google for Work Premier Partner | Google Apps - Google Maps Reseller) but dont know where to start. Please could you advise on how we can alter this as a bulk process. We are trying to avoid to change each student's email alias manually. Thanks.
  2. Excellent !! Sweet! It worked. Thanks Wolfmatty. You saved me a lot of trouble. Extracted the files from the download and injected the correct .INF file into WDS and worked. Thanks dapaulio.
  3. Hi All, Hi All, Please could you help me find assigned network driver for a Toshiba Laptop Satellite Pro A50-C-1G9, for a x64 Windows 7 O/S? What I have done is downloaded the LAN driver from the Toshiba website. But it mentions not assigned driver, when I try to add driver package to inject into the WDS server?? Error = "Windows server could not add some of the packages to the server. To list fail packages, click Next". Pointing to an unassigned network (LAN) driver (.inf). Is there a way around this? Would really appreciate help. Thanks All. Source of Toshiba LAN Driver download which has been unsuccessful: http://www.toshiba.co.uk/support/drivers/
  4. Hi All, Hope all is well? Please could you tell where I can download on CD/USB Windows 2000 recovery Disk? Would Windows 7 recovery backup tools, work? Thanks. Regards, ManniS
  5. Thanks PeterW, but sorry could you direct me to the file I need to download from the Realtek website please? Thanks.
  6. Hi All, Please could you help? What I have done: At work we have x5 'Ergo Microlite 981-Airplane' laptops. I have installed Windows 7 x64 O/S and installed apps (i.e. MS Office, Adobe CS5, etc.) & updated (i.e. MS Windows updates etc) on one of the 5 Ergo laptops. I have also successfully captured the image onto the WDS Server (W2K8). What I need help on: I cannot get unassigned network driver to work (inject into the Driver Package, and into the Boot Images folder in WDS Server). When I tried injecting the x64 Lan driver into WDS, it pops up with an error, "Windows server could not add some of the packages to the server. To list fail packages, click Next'. Pointing to an unassigned network (LAN) driver (.inf). Is there a way around this? Could you please tell me how I can solve this issue? Would be really appreciated!! Thanks! 7. Thank you first of all to those who have replied Really appreciated! Answer to 'strawberry' = PC is joined to domain, students use roaming profiles, same GPOs applied to students. Answer to 'plexer' = proxy is applied through GPO. Yes open to other methods. To the rest of you mentioned alternative methods to try and solve the problem. I will go-ahead and do that. Will keep you guys posted for update!! Thanks.
  8. Hi All, Hope I could get an answer to this. Really frustrating. Problem 1: I work at a school. The problem that I I was experiencing before was that trying to work out why when a student logins, and browses to the Internet using IE11 or Chrome browsers it crashes. Just closes the browsers down and they cannot get onto using it. Built a new clean image build, on Windows 7 SP1 on a x32 bit O/S, installed necessary software, ie. MS Office, Adobe CS5, Quicktime Player, Adobe Reader, Java etc. and deployed it onto the student machines. Did this before in the past with no problems. Then start having issues explained under 'Problem 2'. (Please see below). Problem 2: When a student logins in, and browses onto the Internet. Error message displays on the browser. "Unable to connect to the Proxy Server". Then when a student logs off, and logs back into the same desktop machine (once it creates the user profile), the Internet works fine. Experiencing issue when a student wants to browse through the Internet ,everything else works fine. Help would be really appreciated. Many Thanks!!
  9. Thanks for reply MordyT. Yes users (students) can see applications on other machines in other classrooms when they login. But not on the newly imaged machines. I did the same process as before in the past. I did not come to witness this problem. Don't really know what is going on? :/
  10. Hi there folks!! I'm in a predicament! I just re-imaged 19 machines in a classroom Windows 7 x32. I re-named all the machines correctly and moved into correct folder in Active Directory, joined to school's domain etc. For some reason I am not able to see desktop icons such as Microsoft Word, Excel etc. and Programs in Start and All Programs when students login to the machines. When I login locally all installed applications are visible, but not when students login :S Is this a GPO issue? If anyone could help, it would be appreciated. Thanks!
  11. Hello all! Finally got Windows 8 installed. What it was I configured the SATA configuration in BIOS, which didn't work first time (have not got a clue why it did not work) also changed the port cable on the motherboard to SATA 1. Now installed on the SSD. Thanks to all of you and specially Kirchie
  12. Thanks for replying. The settings are fine. But still having issues.
  13. Hi Folks!! I am in a predicament. I am trying to install Windows 8 on a ASUS M3A78-EMH desktop machine. I am using Windows 8 boot files on a USB, which has been correctly formatted etc. The Windows 8 file loads using the USB, it goes past the language installation and install. But when the next stage shows to select which HDD to select to install Windows 8 on, it displays blank. Then it comes with a message 'A required CD/DVD drive device driver is missing. If you have a driver floppy disk, CD, DVD, or USB flash drive, please insert it now.' Help would be really appreciated. Thanks
