WOW blast from the past! Didn't think anyone would be even trying to use this anymore it was created a long long time ago. (See last post 2013) I can't really help much as I don't have it installed anymore and haven't used it for a long time. But I would say the script is looking for the FQDN and maybe its not finding the domain name, maybe something to do with DNS?

Now resolved.... Issue with some default security groups that were added to the folders

Hi All, I’m moving the general staff network share from a 2008 server to a 2012 server it’s the main one all the staff use. The files are copied across fine and I’m setting the permissions exactly like they are on the old one, one big problem! For some reason the absence of a permission isn’t excluding access for people and I don’t get why! Say I have a top level folder with all staff group on and then the folder under that I want to only let certain people to view/edit. Normally I disable inheritance remove the general staff group and then add the other group or few individuals I need to access the folder, simple right, correct me if I’m wrong??? The problem is the absence of a group/user doesn’t stop them accessing a folder and I have no idea why, I can add the general staff group and deny it that works but then the deny takes presidents over the allow and the people in the other group can’t write either (which is correct). I just can’t work out why the absence of a user/group doesn’t stop them getting in, help anyone please!!!!  Thanks FB

Not really had anyone 100% say barcodes helped, I might have to look into it. Do you need to use a specfic type? Where do you get yours from? Once the tapes have barcoded names can you still give them a friendly name 'Nov 2015' or something or are they all just called after the barcode number?

Hi all, Wondering if anyone can help, we have just moved our tape backups over to Veeam from Backup exec and tape management is slightly different!! I used to inventory then label tapes in BKUPEXEC (linking the written label with the electronic label in BKUPEXEC) and then once used I could remove and at any point re-add that tape, inventory it and it would show back up as the same tape, however I'm not finding the same thing in Veeam Firstly I don't see how you properly label tapes and maybe this is wear all my problems lie. The only way I can see to label tapes is to right click a slot to go to the properties of a tape and change the name there but I'm unsure if this is the correct way of doing it. We have a 8 tape Quantum Superloader 3 LTO6, slot 8 is for cleaning. I have normal tape in the other 7 slots. For example this month when two tapes were used I removed them (which is always a random two tapes it selects!) and inserted two new ones. Inventoried the tapes relabelled them after the slot name (which is a temporary name) . To check if all was sinking up I ejected the magazine swapped tapes 2 and 7 put it back in and ran another inventory. Problem is Tape 2 showed up fine but Tape 7 was shown as tape 9 unrecognised!! Any idea what I am doing wrong? How do you label/managed tapes correct in this software?

Thanks Wifi Wizard, yes we found a similar post saying the same. So so annoying that this is the case, it spoils what would be our prefect wifi setup here in having to create another wifi ssid with a different authentication just for win7 users

Hi all, Just wondering if anyone could help as I'm having a issue with RADIUS and Windows 7 BYOD machines. I have setup RADIUS AAA authentication on Ruckus to authentic users on the SSID and this passes the RADIUS authentication though to Bloxx nicely and works on iOS, OSX and Windows 8 without an issue. It also works with windows 7 Domain computers no problem and I have a GP setup to connect domain laptops to the network automatically which works nicely. However I also want Windows 7 machines that our students bring in to connect in the same way but they just won't connect. I get the event logged below when they try to connect Network Policy Server denied access to a user. Reason Code: 265 Reason: The certificate chain was issued by an authority that is not trusted. The policy on the NPS server is setup with very basic settings to allow domain computers and 3 different AD user groups to connect and the user I'm trying to connect with is a member of the group. Like I say I can connect and authentic on a window 8 laptop with the same user just not a windows 7 laptop. Thanks FB

Right mailboxes created this morning but all the default e-mail address are the default *.onmircosoft.com ones! As we sync with AD I have found some pages saying that if you add an e-mail address to the e-mail field on the General tab for your users in AD it will switch the e-mail address over in 365. Done this but its not happened yet... about 850 users to do, does anyone know if this takes a while? Should this work? Has someone on here done this before and confirm I have done the right think? Hi all, We have two domains setup in our office 365 deployment, 1 for staff 1 for students. All users are synced with AD from domain name1. The staff mailboxes are held in our data centre and on domain1 and will not be migrated yet. However the students are setup to login with domain name2 which is all setup and ready to use for mail (DNS done) and given a license which allows mail. However how do I create the mailboxes for domain name 2 and leave domain name 1 as it is? Is this possible? All the users assigned a domain name 2 domain just have 'We are preparing a mailbox for this user.' when you look at the properties of the user and it has been like this all afternoon, about 850 users. Can anyone help FB

Plus I have so many more options and I don't even know what some of the options are!!! I guess I have to state which options I want turned on? But mine starts with ENTERPRISEPACK so it can't be STANDARDWOFFPACK can it?

Hi Sonofsanta, I have the same issue again with some staff licenses, all I can see is schoolname:ENTERPRISEPACK... without the end part of the license name. Would you happen to know what this was? In my powershell window there just isn't enough room from all the characters!

Hi guys... almost there when I run the 'Get-MsolAccountSku' command below the AccountSkuId I get 'schoolname:OFFICESUBSCRIP...' but it doesn't complete the line because there isn't enough room I have tried both schoolname:OFFICESUBSCRIP... and schoolname:OFFICESUBSCRIPTION but they both error in the script say invalid license how the hell do I get the full name of the license? Any ideas? Thanks FB
