This seminar showcases individual schools and colleges, plus local authorities, and even countries (Northern Ireland) , that have used Meru Networks to support teaching and learning using mobile wireless devices. It examines the evolution of devices and learning resources and their effect on the wireless infrastructure.

 

The seminar shows how Meru Networks’ wireless technology can be delivered to provide a robust wireless environment to individual schools and colleges, or in a “cloud” configuration managed by a local authority or academies trust for use in their schools.

 

It describes how Meru’s unique technology provides educational establishments with the fastest, most reliable infrastructure, fit to support campus wide teaching and learning, for high densities of mobile users. It highlights common problems with high density roll outs, and shows how to avoid them.

building private cloud managed Wi-Fi solutions to facilitate multi site deployments

planning for 802.11ac – the new Wi-Fi standard

enabling BYOD without impacting support overhead.

using edu-roam and active directory for authentication

automating device onboarding

simplified guest management

 

There will also be a live demonstration of iPads, Apple TV and of high density server log-in and video streaming over Wi-Fi.
