gshaw Posted June 20, 2016 Posted June 20, 2016 Kinda ironic that MS are responsible for more bloat in the image than OEMs these days...
mikes Posted June 21, 2016 Posted June 21, 2016 Yeah I was thinking that... does it clean out the bloatware that is already built into Windows?
Explorer Posted June 24, 2016 Posted June 24, 2016 It's easier to just restrict access to it & change defaults than removing it. It'll just be reinstalled during the next feature update.
timbo343 Posted July 2, 2016 Author Posted July 2, 2016 I have a funny feeling that the bloatware tool doesn't remove what we call "the windows bloatware", instead it removes pre-installed bloatware from vendors like HP, Dell, etc. Having installed release 14372, run the custom bloatware powershell script ive got, it removes 24 preinstalled apps (using Education): 3D builder, Bing Weather, Desktop App Installer, Get Started, Messaging, MS Office Hub, MS Software Collection, MS Sticky Notes, Office One Note (error - specified path not found) One Connect People, Skype App, Store Purchase App, Windows Photos, Windows Alarms, Windows Camera, Windows Communications Apps, Windows Feedback, Windows Maps (error - specified path not found) Windows Sound recorder, Xbox App, Xbox Identity Provider, Zune Music, Zune Video. I cannot run the RefreshWindowsTool as the tool doesn't support the English (UK) language - thats not one of the bugs i thought it would have but i get the feeling it wont remove the Win10 bloatware. One good thing, there's no Farmville, Duolingo, World of Tanks, Candy crush installed or on the Start menu - MS will get there eventually!
