jackb70 Posted February 5, 2013 Author Posted February 5, 2013 (edited) Okay - the Domain / Realm could have been fine as they were, but no worries for now. Have you re-tested on https://testexchangeconnectivity.com? If not, please do, if you have, what are the results? alanhardisty Posted February 5, 2013 Posted February 5, 2013 That is still showing: "The following authentication methods are enabled, but they aren't allowed authentication methods for this service. Methods: Negotiate, NTLM" Which may be ISA causing the problem. Can you configure a phone internally using Wi-Fi and have it sync happily? In my blog there is a link to a test tool (AccessmyLAN) which you can download and use to test internally to rule out the ISA server. Please download it and test internally if you can't setup an account on Wi-Fi internally. Alan

alanhardisty Posted February 5, 2013 Posted February 5, 2013 Which bit - the internal config using Wi-Fi or the test using the test tool?
jackb70 Posted February 5, 2013 Author Posted February 5, 2013 using the test iv got http 403: Disabled for this user but i have gave access to everything as system administrator
alanhardisty Posted February 5, 2013 Posted February 5, 2013 Is Activesync disabled in Active Directory Users and Computers for this user or is the inherited permissions missing for the user as per my other blog (also applicable to Exchange 2003) and already mentioned in this thread earlier: Activesync Working But Only For Some Users On Exchange 2007 / 2010 « Alan Hardisty's Blog – All Things IT Related Alan
sukh Posted February 5, 2013 Posted February 5, 2013 I think you need to isolate the issue, so try and get EAS working on the LAN before working on External connections.
sukh Posted February 5, 2013 Posted February 5, 2013 What does it say in the IIS logs on the Exch server, is it even reaching there, if not, then you need to focus on the ISA, check the logs there.

sukh Posted February 6, 2013 Posted February 6, 2013 Do the ExchRCA, the IIS Logs should be on the CAS server. Got to IIS deafult website and check the location of the logs. Should be in the inetpub folder in %systemdrive%

alanhardisty Posted February 6, 2013 Posted February 6, 2013 Okay - so the same issue reported, yet the account works! "The following authentication methods are enabled, but they aren't allowed authentication methods for this service. Methods: Negotiate, NTLM" Have you checked my article I linked earlier? http://alanhardisty.wordpress.com/2010/03/05/activesync-not-working-on-exchange-2010-when-inherit-permissions-not-set/

sukh Posted February 6, 2013 Posted February 6, 2013 CAS server in Exchange 2003?? You know what I mean :-) Just in case the JackB70 doesn't - the Exch 2003 server where EAS is held.
jackb70 Posted February 6, 2013 Author Posted February 6, 2013 You know what I mean :-) Just in case the JackB70 doesn't - the Exch 2003 server where EAS is held. im confused :s it works for 1 person but not anyone else
alanhardisty Posted February 6, 2013 Posted February 6, 2013 im confused :s it works for 1 person but not anyone else Incorrect settings in IIS can cause exactly that - I have seen it dozens of times. Please work your way through my blog from the top and check everything, especially that you have Exchange 2003 SP2 installed. Alan
sukh Posted February 6, 2013 Posted February 6, 2013 Just to catchup with this, you have ISA 2006 publishing AS & it only works for one user? If theres only one one exch server have you checked the iis logs?
Orea Posted February 7, 2013 Posted February 7, 2013 This'll sound really silly, but if you have SBS2003 - go to server manager, The E-mail and Internet Wizard - follow through the wizard - Don't change any settings, but make sure when you get to this stage; select mobile outlook access. That'll get things flowing. If you don't have sbs2k3 - ignore me!

Orea Posted February 7, 2013 Posted February 7, 2013 That didnt work all the boxes were ticked i dont get i have a duplicated account of my managers and his emails work fine is there anywhere in exchange to give me access or a specific member of group? So your manager's email's are working fine on his iPhone? Try simple steps first, you have tried duplicating the settings off his, and just changing them to your credentials? SBS is a different animal to normal exchange 2003 boxes. Also, in AD, have you enabled mobile access, under the exchange features tab?
jackb70 Posted February 7, 2013 Author Posted February 7, 2013 yes thats correct and we made a test account by pressing copy on his user and that still didnt work i cant fine the exchange features tab in AD
