SQL Servers

does any have a sql server which has more than one DB attached / instance as im thinking of trying to merge our sql servers to 1 and then maybe have a fail over does anyone have somthing similer

Our SQL server is a single physical server with 3 instance of MS SQL 2008R2 and a total of 8 databases. Been working fine for us.

Databases for us include Corero x2, Easytrace, Wsus, Safecom, VCentre, MLS Eclipse and symantec end point protection.

The server has 12gb ram and 2.8 ghz quad core cpu.

I had the hard disks setup so all the databases are kept on a separate hard disk which is setup in RAID.
