pbainbridge Posted January 14, 2013 Posted January 14, 2013 Can anyone tell me how SIMS B2B file are used by LA's who do not use Capita ONE? Im thinking of Tribal and any of the others. The SIMS/ONE data transfer is seamless and works well, I was wondering if there's anything in the other systems that did the same thing or do the B2B files have to be transferred and imported manually.
matt40k Posted January 14, 2013 Posted January 14, 2013 Pass, would be easy however. Could use AnyComms to transfer it, or you could use a SIF agent - such as GroupCalls - not sure if B2B license is included in SIMS or ONE - that's my thinking (plus b2b isn't great). Could also get someone like SalamanderSoft to write something - I know they've done similar things.

We use the SIMS data exchange XML output files and import the data using Tribal's Unity software 1
pbainbridge Posted February 6, 2013 Author Posted February 6, 2013 Thanks for that, obviously not as seamless as SIMS/ONE but at least the XML's can be imported.
FOG Posted February 6, 2013 Posted February 6, 2013 Our process is fully automated - student details daily - attendance twice a day. Took some time to set up but now runs quite smoothly.
matt40k Posted February 7, 2013 Posted February 7, 2013 obviously not as seamless as SIMS/ONE Don't make me laugh. Seamless isn't the word I'd use for B2B. Out of 350 schools I've never seen it all green in 4 years, ever! Not even for a day, it's like 30 break, you fix them, then another 5 break.

Particularly the number of people assigned to sorting the suspense errors...
BugEyed Posted May 10, 2017 Posted May 10, 2017 Hi All I am resurrecting this thread in an attempt to see if anyone else is doing this, and whether you are sending files the other way to schools using the same system? Thanks Duncan
